5 Dress Trends to Invest in This Summer

The summer season is practically here, which means dress season (my favorite)! There are so many different dress trends I’ve noticed, but I narrowed down the list to my top 5 favorites! Trust me, it was hard to narrow this list down because I could add so many more, so I added a few bonus ones at the end 🙂 you are welcome!

Florals are one of my favorite trends right now and there aren’t many cuter dresses out there than floral maxis! I have found so many cute ones (see below) it’s been hard to decide which to purchase! However, I did get this one from Express when they had their 30% off sale and I can’t wait for it to come in the mail! It’s also available in 3 other colors. I found this really cute and affordable dress from Red Dress Boutique I also ordered!

One  |  Two  |  Three  |  Four  |  Five

This is a trend that was huge last summer and it looks like it’s here to stay for 2017. I did one of my first blog posts on chambray (denim) dresses, and I am loving the fact that I will be able to live in these dresses all summer long!

One  |  Two  |  Three  |  Four  |  Five

There is something so elegant about wrap dresses that I am totally crushing on right now. These dresses pair perfectly with some strappy sandals or chic sneakers. And that’s what I love… that these dresses are so versatile AND they look great on ALL body types!

One  |  Two  |  Three  |  Four  |  Five

It’s definitely safe to say that ruffles are totally in right now, however I feel like this trend may not stick around as long (but you never know). I tend to lean more toward the soft and subtle ruffles, but I have recently stepped out of my comfort zone by purchasing this dress from Asos. I also like the a-symmetrical ruffle trend, which is a fun variation.

One  |  Two  |  Three  |  Four  |  Five

This is a trend that I just HAD to give in to. Midi dresses are so practical – they are long enough so you don’t have to worry about them riding up, but still short enough and breezy that you won’t sweat to death! You can also easily dress them down with flats or sneakers, or dress them up with a cute pair of wedges. I recently bought this one from Red Dress Boutique and I love that it also incorporates ruffles! It’s also the perfect style to wear to work because you never have to worry if it’s too short.

One  |  Two  |  Three  |  Four  |  Five

3 Bonus dress trends I am also loving:

1. Tassels
2. Seersucker
3. T-shirt dresses

Hope everyone has a great weekend! I am trying to recover from my trip to California… I came back with a nasty head cold 😦 but I can’t wait to post all about it soon!
