Striped Sweater for Spring

Welcome to my 100th post! WOOHOO! So crazy to think I’ve posted 100 times… I’ve been trying to post a lot more often, so maybe before you know it I will be at 1,000 🙂 …setting big goals over here!

Anyway… this spring has been so unusually cold! I am so ready for summer, but unfortunately Mother Nature is just not wanting to cooperate. (I have friends up North that just got snow on Tuesday morning. SNOW. In APRIL?!)

So that got me thinking about some transition pieces (sweaters in particular) that are practical, but also give off a “summery” look. The only good thing about colder weather right now, is that a lot of retailers have already released their summer collections, so they have since marked down any winter items! I recently found the perfect sweater for spring, it’s colorful and lightweight and is the perfect piece to transition seasons. The best part… it’s 40% off and only $27!

*I will say the model image is slightly deceiving… the sweater is not as long as it looks on the model on Nordstrom’s website 🙂

Outfit Details: Sweater: Nordstrom, $27 (similar, similar, also love this one) | Jeans: Abercrombie, $35 (similar, similar only $29) | Shoes: See by Chloe (similar, similar) | Bag: Romwe, $27 | Earrings: Kate Spade (similar) | Rings: Baublebar, $68 (similar only $24)

These white Kate Spade earrings were my most recent purchases. Kate Spade just had their 30% off friends and family sale and I got them at a pretty decent discount… so I also ordered them in pink! (They also come in navy and a mint green). I think the floral petal details make these the perfect statement earrings for spring and summer and they are also very lightweight!

On the other hand, I have had this bag forever! It’s pretty much identical to this $1,500 designer bag. (I’ll take the $30 one please)! The neutral color goes with everything and it’s the perfect size.

And last but not least, let’s talk about my favorite shoes! I’ve been wearing these beauties on repeat since I first got them back in February. I don’t know if anyone else has this problem, but my feet are ALWAYS cold. These shoes offer the perfect solution because you still get the cute spring espadrille look, but you’re feet are more covered so they don’t get as cold. I think it’s safe to say that this the best purchase I have made for spring this year! They are a little bit price-y but so far have been worth the investment. (P.S. Saks Fifth Avenue is having a sale right now so you can get them here for $50 off)! I also found some similar, more affordable options here and here and I also this these are super cute!

Thank you all for reading! Hope you have a great rest of the week and a fabulous weekend!

For the Love of Lavender

Happy Monday!

A few weeks ago I posted about popular spring trends for 2018. One of my favorite trends that I wrote about was lavender, where I linked to this cropped sweater that I purchased. It’s now been marked down to more than 50% off and it also comes in three other colors!

I paired this sweater with some lavender Kendra Scott earrings that I bought about 3 years ago for a friend’s wedding. Unfortunately, they don’t sell this color anymore, but I found some earrings that are similar here and here. I LOVE the details on this bag (also a few years old) and the different colors. The subtle lavender colors in the stitching made this bag the perfect accessory for my sweater!

Houndstooth Style

Happy Sunday everyone!

I never thought I would be wearing over the knee boots in early/mid-April, but when it’s 40 degrees outside – you have to dress accordingly. But hey, at least the sun is shining 🙂

Outfit Details: Keyhole Top: Neiman Marcus Last Call, old (similar for $15, similar for $18) | Skirt: Revolve, old (similar only $16, similar) | Boots: Steve Madden, $50 | Bag: Louise et Cie, old (also love this for only $19!) | Earrings: Anthropologie, $38 (also love these) | Lip: Bare Minerals in VIP, $19

One of my favorite trends from this winter, that I have found myself carrying over into spring is houndstooth and gingham patterned pieces. I absolutely love this skirt… I wore it several times this winter with black tights and some pumps. Now that it’s slightly warmer, I paired it with these Steve Madden over the knee boots.

One of my favorite things about this time of year, is being able to stock up on winter essentials at a discount. The boots that I’m currently wearing were originally $130 but I scored them from Nordstrom Rack for only $50! They are almost sold out, but I found a similar pair here for $60!

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend and have a great week!
